Rallycross is similar to Autocross except that you're not driving on pavement, you are driving on dirt or some other unstable surface. In our case, we drive out at the Jean Dry Lake bed, so your wheels are trying to find grip on a fine silt.
Rally is the next the step up and involves 'true' Rally cars with cages and other modifications. These races take place along the dirt roads south of Las Vegas in the Jean area. They're a thrill to watch, as some of the best driver's in the area will reach speeds of over 100MPH on the back roads.
